Noticed on our way to the park today: a neat old door, set at curbside for pickup.
So of course I stopped to take a picture of it …
… which led to this conversation:
Seve: Why are you taking a picture of that, Mama?
Me: Because it’s an interesting doorknob. You don’t see doorknobs like that very often.
Seve: But Mama … I am seeing it right now.
True enough, Lao Tzu.
Sometimes they just don’t understand, Jeni. ;) I love the perspective you used. Great shot.
I agree with Pat, great pic
I love how you are immortalizing these little events so you can call back on it years from now. I wish I had a blog to do that when my daughter was growing up. Every now and then I remember such little tidbits and it makes my day. Or sometimes, it makes me tear up because it’s all in the past.
Late to replying, but I totally agree. Even with all this documenting, though, moments invariably slip through, and past. Out of the blue I remembered that Seve used to call watermelon “mla-mla.” *I* should’ve written this stuff down!
