Before we can recognize the geometry all around us, we must learn the basics.
If you have a small child in your life, you are no doubt well-versed in circles, squares, triangles … and how they all fit together. If a little geography gets thrown into the mix, more the better.
That was cute! :)
Thanks! We had gone to a friend’s house for a BBQ and realized en route that we’d forgotten to bring any toys for the kids. We picked up a cheapo car at the corner store and our host supplied the sidewalk chalk. Instant awesome.
clever and fun!!!
how cute!! is this your child? :)
He is! Only my kid would insist on including the “croissant grocery store.”
Geometry it is! Children are indeed are future :)so adorable!
Pretty basic stuff, but we like it!
really nice with brilliant colours, it made me smile.
Excellent! It was a lot of fun to play with, I have to admit.
Perfect!!
Thanks!
Cool!
Thanks!
Nice entry for the Weekly Photo Challenge !!!
Thanks! Loved your sculpture pic.
So simple, yet so effective. My favourite kind of fun comes from spur of the moment things :)
Agree! The wine enhanced my urban planning / doodling skills by at least 20% that night.
Oh good, ‘cos what I meant to say was spur of the moment, wine induced things is my favourite kind of fun!
Oh how I remember the days when my daughters were that age. I always had super sized box of crayons and tons of sidewalk chalk till their geometric figures began looking like hearts with I love some (strange boy’s name) in them. Lol
Ha! Good time to call it quits.
A perfect post for Geometry.
Thank you!
Perfect geometry!! your pic made me smile..it’s just adorable :-)
Aw, thanks.
Classic!! Our grand-daughters do the same on our driveway…
We NEED to get our driveway paved … it’s a huge canvas!
It makes such a difference – don’t know how we got by when it was just grass and gravel or what the girls might be drawing on instead…

awww this is so cute ^^
Thank you! It was fun to play with (like I could just sit back and watch!).
What a creative perspective for the Geometry! Cool choice. :)
Thanks! It felt like a bit of a cheat as it was geometry that we created — vs. happened upon — but it was the best representation I had.
Great take on the theme, Jeni. Cute pic. :)
Thanks! I am very proud of that croissant, I have to admit.
What a great challenge. Here is a link to my contribution. http://wp.me/p1f97v-1mr
Nice choice for the challenge! Sidewalk chalk never goes out of style :-) Mine wasn’t that elaborate, but I think it would have qualified as geometry – hopscotch!
Love hopscotch! My three-year-old is finally getting the hang of jumping … I see a lot of it in our future.
thank you for activating childhood memories!
Pick up some sidewalk chalk and make some new ones! (seriously: so much fun)
Nice, very nice job… Glad to catchup up on this one :-)
Thanks!
oh sweet! :-)
