Weekly Photo Challenge: Mine

Nothing in this world is more mine — my delight, my frustration, my responsibility — than my children.

Ironic, since the very concept of “mine” — my hot coffee, my whole cookie, my solo trips to the bathroom — has gone out the window since their arrival.

I think it’s a fair trade.

  1. How cute. Our children must be ourselves. :)

  2. lovely picture!

  3. Nice composition.

    • Thanks! I’d love to try to recreate this shot but I would need all the luck in the world (and perhaps that of neighbouring planets) to get them both in the “frame” at the same time. Darn wiggly kids.

  4. Priceless!

  5. Aww … adorable!

  6. Richert Manjarres says:

    I love the effect… :)

    • It’s neat, eh? Just shot through a crawling tube at the playground (you can actually see the graffiti on the outside of the tube on the right side).

  7. Lovely smile. Who needs hot coffee, cookies and solo trips to the bathroom anyway?

  8. The cookies and solo bathroom trips will return – but baby is sooo sweet and only here for so long. I love your photos….

  9. When my kids were little there were the centre of my life. they were mine and mine only… but over the years it has changed slightly, not sure it’s good or bad.
But you are true, when we have children, everything else takes second stage :)

    • As it should be, I think. I share them with their father, and many other loving relatives and friends, but the way in which they are “mine” is wholly and truly mine, evolving but untransferable. :-)

  10. Love the way you framed the shot!

  11. Nice shot!

  12. Beautiful shot and I love the red in the tunnel. :-)
