We spent the morning of Beaster’s third birthday watching road crews lay down a new asphalt surface on our street — a happy reminder that our neighbourhood is always a work in progress, as is our home, as are we.

He must have loved to watch the trucks!
He love, love, loved it. It was the third summer of construction: first they replaced the water lines, then repaired the sidewalk, then fixed the road. All outside our own front door!
