A few weekends ago, blessed with snow that is no longer guaranteed — despite our latitude — we built a snow fort in our yard. Cue Barenaked Ladies.
I grabbed an icicle that had dropped from our eavestrough and planted it on top.
An obelisk of ice, our salute to the returning sun.

Huge icicle! It fell from our eaves through and I repurposed it for our fort.
