Every two weeks I post a mid-month (or end-of-month) phone dumpth — these are the images I’ve captured on my iPhone that I like enough to keep, but haven’t used or shared.
I’ve been back at blogging since the late spring, and in that time have done 16 phone dumpths. It’s a remarkably succinct archive of all that we’ve done together as a family, all that we’ve seen. I didn’t intend for it to be an archive, but it serves that purpose well. Here are all 12 all together — 96 photos that capture half a year in our lives.

How do you manage to get such beautiful photos with your iPhone????
Practice <– that's it, straight up. The upside of digital photography — whether on a phone or a "proper" camera — is that you can take a dozen shots, delete ten and rework the two that are left. Sometimes I do keep the out-of-focus or faded or distorted shots, though. I like a happy accident.

It’s neat for me to see them all together — but it’s equally fun to pick six pics every two weeks. It takes just a few minutes, honestly, and I get a don’t-have-to-think-about-it post of out it. Multiple wins!
